The Era: 1950s, the Hollywood Regency kind. While this wasn't likely originally a wedding dress, the woman who wore this on the red carpet would have felt like a trillion bucks and would have danced the night away in grace.

Sizes are shown with a bit of range because the dress has a little stretch in the material and will sit differently on different body types. Please err on the smaller size to be safe.

The Notes: The original metal zipper on this dress requires a little extra patience. Your local seamstress can easily replace it, but so much historic value lies in metal zippers that we left it for you to decide.

The future: Can be worn with a petticoat for a fuller skirt, and halter straps can be modified to a different kind of strap with a few snips and tucks. However, we love this dress as is and think it makes a perfect wedding gown for the bride who feels most glamorous in black.


Each dress has been locally dry cleaned before shipping, and has been inspected for any externally visible damage or needed repairs. While each dress has been worn once upon a time in history and likely has some evidence of wear, no significant damage or wear is visible unless noted in the above description.
